3-15-4. George Howard Darwin to H. Poincaré

May 25. 1899

Newnham Grange–Cambridge

Dear Monsieur Poincaré,

May I ask you to send to Mr H.F. Newall, (Madingley Rise, Cambridge) the title of the paper that [you] are to do us the honour of contributing to the Cambridge Philosophical Society.11endnote: 1 See Poincaré (1899). Hugh Frank Newall (1857–1944) supervised the installation at Madingley Rise of a large telescope donated by his father to the University of Cambridge, and subsequently employed it himself.

As the Society is anxious to have the titles as soon as possible, may I beg that there shall be no unnecessary delay in your answer.

I remain, Yours sincerely

G.H. Darwin
