4-36-44. H. Poincaré to Giovanni Battista Guccia
[Ca. 27.06.1908]11endnote: 1 The manuscript bears Guccia’s signed annotation: “Rcip. 28/6/08 – G”.
Mon cher ami,
At the outset of the paper Walther von Dyck read at the ICM (Dyck, 1909), he mentioned that the organisational committee, in light of Felix Klein’s inability to attend the Congress, had invited him to speak “in his place” on the topic of the Encyclopädie der mathematischen Wissenschaften, while noting that much of the ICM’s agenda in Rome was related to this editorial project. See also Poincaré to Guccia, 31.05.1908 (§ 4-39-41).
Votre ami dévoué,
Poincaré
