Henry Houssaye

Henry Houssaye (1848–1911) was the son of the poet and writer Arsène Houssaye. An historian and novelist, Houssaye collaborated with several Parisian journals, including the Revue des deux mondes and the Journal des débats. He was elected to the Académie française on 6 December, 1894, to the chair formerly held by Charles Lecomte de Lisle.11endnote: 1 Houssaye’s bibliography may be consulted on the website of the Académie française.
