2-66. Albert Colson
Albert Colson (1853–1933) attended the Lycée de Nancy (renamed Lycée Henri Poincaré in 1913), and matriculated with Poincaré at the École polytechnique in 1873. Colson was named répétiteur in chemistry at the École polytechnique in Paris in 1882. He was subsequently named examinateur (1890), and professor (1898).11endnote: 1 Rollet (2017, 74).
Colson wrote a short letter to Poincaré, his “cher camarade” in late 1886 (§ 2-66-1) concerning the latter’s candidacy to fill a vacant spot in the geometry section of the Paris Academy of Sciences.
