[13.05.1908]11endnote: 1 The letter bears the annotation in an unknown hand: “Paris, 13/5/08. — Risp. 19/5/08.”
Mon cher ami,
J’ai écrit au Directeur du Temps je ne doute pas qu’il vous accorde l’autorisation demandée. Quant à moi bien entendu je serai enchanté.22endnote: 2 Poincaré’s account of the proceedings of the fourth International Congress of Mathematicians in Rome from 6 to 11 April appeared in the edition of 21 April of the Parisian journal “Le Temps” (Poincaré, 1908a). Poincaré’s text was then reedited in a supplement to the Rendiconti di Palermo (Poincaré, 1908b).
Je n’ai pas encore reçu les tirages à part que vous m’annoncez, mais il n’y a pas de temps perdu.33endnote: 3 Offprints of Poincaré’s plenary address to the fourth International Congress of Mathematicians in Rome were printed on 5 May, 1908. Poincaré sent the corrected proofs to Guccia on 27 April; see Poincaré to Guccia, 27 April 1908 (§ 4-36-45).
Je suppose que vous en avez fini avec les grèves.
Ma santé s’améliore d’une façon continue.
Merci mille fois
Votre bien dévoué,
Poincaré
